What happens in a session?
Sessions start with a comprehensive warm up. We progress to our Movement Standards. These are the 12 MOST important movement you need in place in your life to be maximally strong, pain-free, and healthy. Then, we do our 5-minute APEX. This is the portion of the workout designed to prove to you that you are capable of doing hard things. We end every session with a cold towel and some mindset training.
What else is included in the program?
It's not just workouts. Also included in our small group training program is nutrition coaching. We have a step-by-step nutrition coaching process we walk all of our clients through. It's helped hundred of people just like you to lose weight, restore their energy levels, and get healthy.
What is the cost after the first 3 sessions?
Our 12-week small group personal training and nutrition coaching program starts at $999 or 3 payments of $399.
How many times/week do I need to come in?
Clients come in for 2 to 4 sessions each week. How many sessions they come in for depends on how active they are outside of workouts, schedule, and how quickly they want to progress.
"I don't think I will show up or make changes..."
Maybe you've tried a workout or diet program in the past, seen a little success, and then failed. That's the norm. Across the US, 11% of gym members use the gym on a regular basis. That's abysmal. Here at Village over 90% of clients show up at any given session. 90%! Of the 10% that miss a session, it's extremely rare for someone to miss twice. Why? Because Small Group Training is a place people WANT to be. It's an environment filled with encouraging people who are working towards becoming the healthiest versions of themselves.
From a nutrition coaching perspective, we give you a step-by-step approach to making change through our nutrition coaching cards. Then, we educate on the WHY through each of our Village Principles.
Through a step-by-step program, accountability, and amazing community, our Small Group Training program is able to get you real results in just 12 weeks.
Obviously you have to show up, make the changes and do the work, but it's so much easier with a team and community in your corner every step of the way.
"I'm hesitant to spend money on my health."
"That's a car payment!" is something I used to hear quite often from new clients. This is a value issue. How you spend your money and your time shows what you prioritize. The bad news about those who value a car that they don't actually own (the bank does) is that it won't last for life whereas your body WILL. How well your body works is entirely dependent on how you care for and invest in it.
Listen, the government, big Pharma, and big healthcare are NOT about keeping you healthy. If you don't invest in your health no body will.
"My spouse/significant other isn't on board with this"
You and your spouse need to be on the same page. The last thing we want is for your health journey to create conflict in your home. I have a few pieces of sage wisdom for you on navigating these decisions with a spouse. First, start with WHY. "Honey. I'm frustrated with _____ (something about your health or body). I want to get help with this so I can feel more confident in my body and my health .This is really important to me. It's really important to me to set a good example for our kids from a health standpoint. I need some help and I think this program at Village is the right fit for me. Would you be willing to support me in the 12-week program at Village?"
Second, start early. Telling your spouse, "there is this amazing program I think will help me change my. health. It starts in ____. Can we budget/plan to make it happen?"
"Worried about not knowing what to do."
Our expert coaches will tell you EXACTLY what to do in each session. You need ZERO prior exercise experience to do the Small Group Training program.
"Worried about getting injured"
This is the beauty of the Village Movement Standards. These 12 movements were designed by doctors of physical therapy with a step-by-step progression to ensure you stay injury-free and in fact bullet-proof your body from future injuries.
“I don’t trust myself to get this right!”
Hey, maybe you've made some bad health decisions in the past like smoking in your 20's or buying a large tub of multi-level marketing weight loss supplements. You're worried this might just be the next mark on your record of bad health-related commitments. Our total 12 program offers a 100% money back guarantee if you're not completely satisfied with the program. You literally can't get this wrong, my friend.
“I don’t have the time”
If you don't have 2-4 hours per week to commit to showing up at Village, this program may not be the right fit for you at this time. If this is you, I encourage you to do some hard thinking about what other time-sucks in life you can change.
Could you alter your work to be remote more often and avoid the commute?
Are you committed to social groups, kids activities, or boards/committees that need to be de-prioritized to prioritize your health?
Are you staying up later than you should watching Netflix or the news?
Do you need to say NO to something else in order to say YES to your health?
“I’ll wait a little longer and see how it goes.”
Mike is a client at Village who decided to "leave it a little longer." He came in a year ago looking to get help with weight loss. He walked out without committing to our program. Over the next year, he gained another 20 pounds. He sent me an email with the title: "I should have started a year ago, but I'm ready now." He's now lost 30 pounds and feels better than ever. The only bummer is that he started from a 20-pound deficit that he didn't need to start from.
